Clinic Relocation Update

With a 7 week old baby, I hardly have time to shower much less blog!  But I wanted to check in and update everyone on our new clinic.  My husband and I had Inner Source CA in Bradenton, FL.  We relocated to Sarasota, FL and joined forces with 2 colleagues (for more flexibility with the baby).

We have 1 community room with 6 La Fuma recliners, a library, reception, 2 areas for tables and a back area for our stuff.  pic number 9

Our new clinic is Sarasota CA.  We had a “mini” grand opening on June 28th.  We offered refreshments and free treatments.  We sent out mailers to all of our patients and spread the word.  We had about 75 people come through, and about 25 treatments.  People made donations and it was a success. Now we are working on other marketing and such.

We are located near an artist community so we are displaying artwork from local artists which is also available for purchase.

I included a link to photos (you have to copy and paste it)-I’m not sure how to attach them to the blog…any pointers?

I will keep updating on our numbers-

Conference Keynote: Breaking the Ceiling

The theme for this conference is “Breaking Barriers”. You know, there are so many barriers to break in acupuncture that it was really hard to choose which ones to talk about for this speech. But since I’ve spent so much time talking about classism as a barrier, I thought it might be fun to shift gears a little and talk about numbers.

  2. Congratulations Mel!   I’m

Congratulations Mel!   I’m astounded you’re doing alll that at once (AND bothering to keep us updated – thanks!)

  3. your space is beautiful!

What a beautiful space.  I like what you did with the recliners.  I like the clean look of your clinic and the lighting is really great. Do you change the sheets after every patient?

I’m in Asheville and my business partner and I have recliners from Habitat that are comfortable and we put fleece blankets over them.  We just started in the last few months and we are opening softly.  It is time to plan an opening celebration.

Happy new space and new baby, Elizabeth
