How do I get my AAT certificate after the training?

Is the training all you need to get a certificate?

No, an AAT certificate of completion requires that trainees attend and complete the didactic portion, pass a quiz with a grade of 80% or higher, and perform 40 practice under supervision. Trainees have one year from the training date to complete all requirements.

Trainees for whom there are no nearby clinical practice sessions may be able to arrange alternative supervision for the clinical portion. This should be discussed with your trainer prior to registering. Trainees are also required to have active POCA memberships at the Punk/Provider level at the time of the training and certification process.

Who issues the certificates to AAT trainees?

The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) will issue trainees that have completed all coursework a numbered certificate of completion. This certificate may or may not be necessary to meet state requirements for practice, and to purchase auricular acupuncture supplies.
