Hemma Community Acupuncture

Hemma Community Acupuncture was the first community clinic of its kind in Canada. Dedicated to offering high quality alternative health care that is accessible to people of all ages and all walks of life, Hemma’s services are offered on a sliding scale. Acupuncture is $20-40 per treatment – you decide how much to contribute. The practitioners at hemma have more than 30 years of combined experience and together have provided more than 100,000 treatments since opening in 2007. We treat a wide variety of health concerns: anxiety and depression, chronic pain, neck and back aches, digestive issues, and many other conditions that may be responsive to conventional care.

Our space is situated on street level. The door does not have an automatic opener, but there is always someone at the front desk who can open the door for you. The entire space is wheelchair accessible. The clinic has 10 comfy lazy-boy recliners, one is a lift chair, and we can also treat folks in their chair if they prefer. We can usually assist with transfer from wheelchair to recliner and to massage table, please inquire before arriving if possible. We have 1 washroom, which is equipped with handrails and can accommodate most wheelchairs, 2 change rooms, all are single occupancy and non-gendered. We aim to keep hemma as scent neutral as possible, while maintaining our inclusivity of all people from all walks of life.
