DIY Membership Drive Sign-up Station

Hi All!
I was asked to share our POCA membership drive display board, so here it is!

I am a punk at MetroWest Community Acupuncture in Milford, MA. Our illustrious leader, Steve Kingsbury, asked for a volunteer to make a display for the POCA membership drive. As I am our clinic's token Design Queen, I jumped at the chance to put my craftiness towards POCA's purpose!

We knew we wanted a three fold foam core board, something re-usable. But how should it look? I wanted something sparkly, colorful, but appealing to all genders. It should be eye-catching and engaging for our self- sign up station. While browsing at a craft store, I saw a pad of superhero/ comic book themed scrapbook paper; inspiration struck, and our theme was born: “Be a POCA Hero!”

Each different panel is one of the pages of scrapbook paper, embellished with printed text- filled cutouts, and the POCA recliner logo. My personal favorite is the “Super Chair” flying high over the city of Pokesville! Who knows – that may be a tee shirt one day! It's hard to see in some of the photos, but there is plenty of sparkle, and some metallic shine on the panels.

Steve liked the end result so much that he asked me to make another one for Ashland Community Acupuncture too. ACA has a smaller waiting room area, so that one is a foam core poster that is hung on the wall. I kept the same theme, but used a slightly different color scheme.

I hope it inspires our patients as much as community acupuncture inspired me!
