Fall 2015 Membership Drive Begins Today!

The fall Membership Drive is here!  Starting today, and for a whole month

  • You have the opportunity to talk to people about membership in POCA
  • You have the opportunity to renew your clinic's membership. your own, and people who come to your clinic
  • You have the opportunity to make available members-only fun things and events for members in your area
  • You have the opportunity to build a better co-op
  • You have the opportunity to contribute materially to helping POCA Tech get accredited.

If that's not enough, there are actual benefits to being a POCA member, besides these satisfactions.  For patient members – free treatment for your birthday, 3 give-away coupons for free treatments for people you care about, and if you travel to different POCA clinics you can waive the $10 new patient fee!

For punks, the same PLUS 8 free CEU's and lots more for low cost.  Support from our punk community and help developing your punky punkness!

For clinics, LOC listings, employer forums on the website, and a feeling of belonging second to none.

There are other benefits, like electing board members, POCA Fest, smaller fests, and getting in on t he ground floor of Liberation Acupuncture.

Please join now!  Please participate in the Membership Drive by posting materials in your clinic and inviting others to join!  We have a target of 300 memberships for this drive.  We should be able to do this on our heads!   Look here for materials, to ask questions, or to keep up with the daily stats.

Conference Keynote: Breaking the Ceiling

The theme for this conference is “Breaking Barriers”. You know, there are so many barriers to break in acupuncture that it was really hard to choose which ones to talk about for this speech. But since I’ve spent so much time talking about classism as a barrier, I thought it might be fun to shift gears a little and talk about numbers.

  1. I would like to renew my POCA membership for the 3rd year. I would like to renew it without having to hunt through your informative web site. Can you please make this a little simpler. PLEASE. I have logged in, clicked join and looked every where. This is the second year.

You may, if it works for you, feel provoked. I am.
